Standard open chords with single string ~Shammering~T effects are needed, the chords being , , , , and with the song actually performed with a capo on the third fret. Some experience with hammering the low string on a chord, to (hammering up) and to to open (walking down) to land on is helpful. Also, within the structure of the chord, hammering ~Sup~T from to on the A string and ~Swalking down~T from to to on the string, is helpful in replicating the tune. No fancy right hand finger action is needed but the tune should not be simply strummed either. Rather, judicious striking of the strings from the lower to upper range with a pick does the job. Both the and the chords can, most of the time, be gainfully played more fully, or ~Ssuspensefully~T, by using the ring finger to hold down a note on the string for both the and chords, but alternate this at will with the standard fingering of and . Pregnant pauses of a beat or two when resolving the choruses and bridge bring some nice drama to the tune. The following tabbing of this tune is of course all my own work and, despite my best efforts, approximate - so embellish at will and enjoy BoB M () = half-step hammering up to the from the on the low string () = half-step hammering up to the from the on the A string (F#/Em) = walking down from the to to on string landing in chord () = walking down from the to the to the open A on the A string () () () () () () () ( () I don~Rt hang around that place no more () () () I~Rm tired of wearing circles in the floor () () () And I don~Rt carry myself very well () () () I~Rve gotten so much braver can you tell (F#/Em) I~Rm happy, can~Rt you see () () () I~Rm allright, but I miss you Amber Lee () () () () () () () () () And I line up all my secrets one by one () () () and put~Rem all away when I was done () () () And I would really love to hear your voice sometime () () () To close a little distance in my mind (F#/Em) I~Rm happy, can~Rt you see () () () I~Rm allright, but I miss you Amber Lee () () () () () () Bridge: Where have you been all these years And how could you just disappear () () And when, did you stop,~. missing me () () () () () () (F#/Em) I~Rm happy, can~Rt you see () () () () -end I~Rm allright, but I miss you Amber Lee
